For the second single from Morgan Geist’s acclaimed new album Double Night Time
Paul Woolford was so captivated by “The Shore” that he reached out and volunteered to remix it for us. His ten-plus-minute “Bridge End Remix” turns the song into a percussive, synthetic anthem, creatively employing Greenspan’s vocals (and on the dub, the space between the vocals). Much like Carl Craig’s remix of Junior Boys’ “Like A Child,” it’s paradoxical that so energetic and “peak-time” a remix could be borne of such an introspective original, but it works.
The combination of Geist’s masterful production and songwriting with Greenspan’s delicate vocals made moved FACT Magazine to name “The Shore” #16 in their “Top 100 Tracks” of 2008
