Metro Area Mix on AOL

A new Metro Area disco mix is up on AOL’s Spinner site. Check it out here. It’s pretty short, but hey.

Kelley Polar CD Released Today!

I Need You to Hold On While the Sky Is Falling is available today in North America and most of Europe! The CD is packaged in a beautiful, reverse-stock digipak – designed by Nove Studio, the design firm responsible for the gorgeous video for “Chrysanthemum” – and Mr. Polar claims there are “secret messages” embedded in the CD and artwork. The album is available in all fine record shops and in our online store.

The album is getting fantastic reviews, including a wonderful review in Pitchfork yesterday.

The CD will be out in UK and Netherlands later this month, and in Japan it will be released via Ultra-Vybe in May. And remember, if you don’t mind missing out on the secret messages embedded in the physical package, the album is available on iTunes and all other digital shops now!

We’ll be posting pictures from Kelley’s live performance at Studio B last Saturday very soon!

This Saturday: Environ turns 13!

Welcome to the new Environ Web site.

We’ve made the main section here blog-based. Everybody’s doing it, plus it provides us a spurious excuse to post informal crapola to delight and amuse you; for example, this shot of Baby Oliver’s custom van (so that’s where he got the title of the track).

“Primetime” just recently went prime time with an inclusion in FabricLive 36, the high-profile mix CD by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy and Pat Mahoney. Go Baby O!
